Oil Filter Maintenance Instruction 1

Procedure for Replacing Oil Filter:

1. Preparation: Ensure engine is cool and parked on a flat surface. Gather tools: oil filter wrench, drain pan, gloves, and new oil filter.
2. Oil Drain: Locate the oil drain plug and remove it slowly to catch oil in the pan. Allow oil to fully drain.
3. Remove Old Filter: Position the oil filter wrench on the old filter and turn counterclockwise to unscrew. Be careful of hot oil residue.
4. Install New Filter: Coat the new filter's gasket with a thin layer of new oil. Screw it on clockwise until hand-tight, then add an additional quarter-turn with the wrench.
5. Refill Oil: Check your owner's manual for the correct oil type and quantity. Replace the drain plug and refill the engine oil.
6. Inspection: Start the engine, check for leaks, and ensure oil pressure is normal.
